depending on make or style of mower u might have forgot to disengauge mower deck.on some models this is a safety feature.could also be weak battery like plumber said. what kind of mower is it?

If the starter clicks when you turn the key to start, thats a sign of a weak battery. It could also be caused by a loose connection on the battery or starter solenoid.

need someone to check my mower it was running ,stopped for a drink now it wont turn over but has power,just clicks .
