I go to Save a Lot and get the off brand brownie mix that they have. I then add in chocolate chips and walnuts (also that I buy there). They are delicious brownies and rival any name brands I have tried. Like another poster said though, you can't beat Betty's Bakery brownies!!

I have to say I have gotten several different kinds but I actually like the FoodLion brand of fudge ones. I think they are better then the name brand ones.

Duncan Hines would be my first choice. Betty Crocker would be my absolute last choice. Hint - mix all of your wet ingredients first (mix really well) and then add in your dry mix. Stir only until the mix is completely blended, pour in pan and cook. Cook about 5 degrees under if you have a digital setting on your oven.

i'm with Mommotwo, I use Ghiradelli (sp). A friend told me a tip. Bake them for about 5 minutes less than is stated on the box. Take them out and let them sit without slicing or removing from pan for about thirty minutes. It will result in a much moister, richer brownie!

I believe we always use Duncan Hines and make them the moist way instead of the dryer cake-type brownies.

Didn't know Brownies were that fattening. I rather buy a box mix but that recipe does sound good.

I went to the grocery store and they have 20 different brands of brownie mix. I want to know which is the best tasting. My last batch of brownies was not as good as I have had before but I don't remember which brand I bought.
