Thanks! Next time I am at Food Lion I plan on getting the cake mix. Walmart does have a very pitiful section for mixes.

Food Lion has a very good selection of mixes and frosting. Walmart (both Elkin and W'boro) have very small selection. The caramel icing sounds good....may be a rainy cold Saturday treat!

Where can you buy the butter pecan cake mix? Walmart and Dollar General didn't have it.

I have made the butter pecan recipe and put caramel icing on it.... Very good..

1 box Butter Pecan cake mix
1 container Coconut Pecan frosting
2/3 cup oil
1 cup water (or milk(
4 eggs
Mix all ingredients well.
Pour batter in a pound cake that has bee floured/buttered.
Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
AMAZING cake.
You can get creative too!
I tried the Spice cake mix and used cream cheese frosting. My son and his roommates loved it.
Co-worker did strawberry mix and strawberry icing and said it was fantastic.
I'm thinking carrot cake mix with cream cheese frosting....oh my!
