Be sure to look them for stones and dirt. Wash well in several rinse waters. If using crock pot then parboil the beans for 15 minutes before putting into crock pot. Add 4 to 6 cups hot water to beans when you put them in crock pot.

put beans in crock pot and add a country ham hock too them.cook all night in crock pot.enjoy.
