I wouldn't. People will say.."advanced task killer." Or lookout...there are power saving apps on tje phone...utilize them. The other 3rd party apps can cause conflicts on the phone. The phone is always working...whether you are using it or not. It's always looking for a signal, looking for internet, looking for location, looking for updates.. fact of living with a smartphone. That's one of the reasons i recommended the maxx. Life is about trade offs and compromises. We traded off battery life for a cheaper and a free phone. Thoae little pocket chargers are worth having... keep a car charger and an extra docking station or charger at work...ebay has a bunch

None...just keep a charger with you. Disable automatic updates. Disable gps and location services until you need them
