When you uninstall IE9 it will want you to download the earlier version of IE. It's not required to install it, so don't think you have to install it all because there's an update for it. If you don't want to see the update, just right click it and click Hide Update, and it will hide it from showing up on the updates list.

The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane. Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
Click one of the following: Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9 and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
Restart later
Thanks, Chris *Also on the side note, it's recommended to use Firefox or Google Chrome as an alternative browser to IE9. Both are faster and more secure than IE9

Anyone have issues with IE-9 using Windows 7? I have tried to remove IE-9, but it seems to be part of the Windows 7 software. It is a royal pain in the donkey butt.
