You know how sometimes, as a joke... you might be looking at something dangerous, then a friend kinda nudges you toward it and then grabs you, saying "saved your life!"
That's what Trump does. He creates a problem, then backs off, and takes credit for "saving" us from it.
The difference is that most people have enough common sense to know that when your friend does this, they didn't REALLY save your life...
