Eggs that are currently for sale in retail stores may be up to 6 months old. With Trump and Musk reducing the FDA to the point of ineffectiveness and slashing regulations it could go up to a year or more. That should bring the price down, and I'm sure RFK jr. has a good antidote for salmonella.

In 2024, Biden signed a preliminary agreement with Turkey for 15,000 tons (30 million pounds) of eggs to be shipped to us by June 2025.
I'm sure that... someone else... will take credit for it. But now you know that it was a deal negotiated in 2024 and paid in advance, so that it couldn't be retracted.
