About as enlightened as Wilkes. Home to Dunn, Buies Creek and the brain trust that is Campbell. A county as well regarded as ***berland. Interstate HWY Commission intentionally bypassed them in the planning and implementation of I-40. This is not shocking.

Heed RFK jr. Didn't he save countless children from being born with autism by persuading people to reject vaccination? So, a hundred or so died from measles, but that's just collateral damage.

The Harnett County Board of Commissioners has tabled a final decision on whether to keep fluoride in the county's drinking water.
During a meeting Tuesday morning, the board decided to table the issue until more research can be gathered.
Last week, the Harnett County Board of Health recommended keeping fluoride in the water. Members of the board spent 20 minutes watching a presentation on the benefits of water fluoridation, with members emphasizing that fluoride levels are closely monitored.

It seems to be a deeply partisan issue, of course... the Republicans following RFK's lead and wanting to remove fluoride, while doctors, dentists, and the Democrats argue that it should remain.
The whole meeting if you care to scan through it...
