Disney buys Lucasfilm. New Star Wars trilogy coming

I heard that the new trillogy is suposed to have Mara Jade in it...that made me happy until I found out that according to Disney the Star Wars books are no longer "cannon" and that really peeved me off. How can you introduce a very popular character from the books and say that the books are not cannon. they also said that they are NOT doing the Heir to the Empire storyline, from where Mara originated and the HTTE storyline is what a good majarity of die hard Star Wars fans are BEGGING to see! Myself included as I costumed as Mara Jade for the past 4 years

Well, I might have to take that back, Disney did a really good job on The Pirates of the Caribbean movies were pretty good. So, maybe they won't mess them up too bad.

money talks. Im just afraid that one of my favorite movie franchises will be going down the crapper. The next trilogy will continue the adventures of Luke, Han, Leia, and the gang.

You beat me to posting this. Its interesting that just a few years ago George was basically declaring he would take Star Wars with him to the grave. I guess 4 billion dollars can change anyone's outlook on things.

Im afraid of how it will be. Knowing how kid friendly Disney can be, Im scared Jar Jar Binks will get his own spin off.
