That is correct. Nothing will kill a boxwood root. The only thing a boxwood is good for is throwing a persons back out.

I have had the shrubs/bushes cut down in front of my house. What is a great home remedy to kill the roots so they won't reappear next year? If there is not a home remedy, what can I purchase to kill these suckers? muhaha. Thanks!
