The Wilkesboro Lowes has a deck restore display paint on the left across from the light bulbs that you might want to look at. I saw it last week and am considering trying it.

I have just my stair treads left to paint on my own porch. It was never stained but I let the new "moist" pressure treated wood sit for about a year. I had a ton of nail holes to fill and sanding to do ... but I do love it painted.

Pretty sure you can, ya just cant do the opposite. I think all ya have to do is powerwash it good and maybe sand it down a little. Should turn out good if ya still have good lumber. Good luck, alot of work tho.

wash the deck and then allow to dry than paint it...that will be one solution...but good luck...let us know what you do...thanks....

My porch, constructed treated lumber is really looking crappy. I stained it about 3-4 years ago (didn't do a very good job) and I would like to do something different, but I don't want to spend the money to completely replace the wood, not to mention the wood is still good, just looks bad. I am considering painting it. Can you paint over something that has been stained? If so, is there a certain process that should be done before painting?
