I'm not sure. Never had a problem with them before.

And if you planted you sweet potatoe slips in rich soil or fertilized them they may be getting to many nutriuents to do well. Sweet potatoe slips thrive in poor soil, where regular potaoes need rich soil and fertilize. Riverbend is right too, it may still be a little cool. Nothing will grow like it should in cool weather except lettuce and onions and garden peas. A salad patch also does well in cool weather. Matter of fact we have greens growing that were planted last spring a year ago. It could be a blight too, because a blight hit our tomatoe plants last year and we just barely got enough tomatoes to eat out of about 50 some plants. Some years things do well and some years it don't. Gardening is a gamble.

It may be a little too cold for them now... I haven't planted sweet potatoes yet, only because I think it is too early for them...

I have never had this problem before. I have sweet potatoes slips planted. The leaves have all turned dark brown. Anyone ever experience this before? Everything else in the garden is fine.
