I make a little "pan" out of foil & put my tube pan in the middle of it. If it leaks, it catches it.

My momma used to cut a piece of waxed paper and put it in the bottom of the pan with the hole cut out in the middle. Then the waxed paper can be easily peeled off after baking.

If the seeping isn't too bad, you may just have to place it on top of a cookie sheet as you bake. That's what I do with my springform pan. Good luck.

These pictures do not show a tube spring form, but I have one that has a tube in the center.

If you have a tube pan leaking, then it must have a hole in it.
I think maybe you are talking about a spring form pan. Like this. http://www.wilton.com/store...fm?dc=2.13
If so, then the spring is weak, and you need a new one. I know of no way to stop it from leaking around the base.

I have a tube cake pan that I need to know what and how it can be lined to keep the batter from seeping out the bottom when it starts baking. I have tried wax paper but it doesnt help. Any suggestions?
