Our super. seems to have a very PERSONAL reason why he has made it mandatory to stay sertoma.

This is bull! If we pay the salary of the school board, superintendent and OUR tax money pays for the field maintenance, our coaches are volunteers and have booster clubs that support the teams for equipment and such WHY are we still sending our money to Yadkin when their teams are out? Evidently theres more money staying in Wilkes than we know about!! Maybe we do need to stand together and voice our opinions, no one else is going to stand up for whats right for the kids

Wilkes County is and always will be invited to join the "New Era" of youth football. Parents and coaches need to let their voices be heard if they what to do whats best for the players.

I talked to some of the guys here and they say they were told to not meet with the yadkin teams. If they want to separate and form a now league why do we not get the same choice. The current league is corrupt with the 'brown bags' drop offs at the country club, and all the schools having to pay for equipment! Where does for the kids fit into the current program? Not to mention all the inconsistency with rules, scedules, and so on, not to mention the schools get nothing back for the use of TAX PAYER PROPERTY .

OK... I hear Wilkes has really dropped the ball. Someone from there needs to pick up that ball and run with it. I think its about the kids, not the adults being threatened with no place to play if they buck the system. With the changes coming there should be no worries. Things can't change if everyone who needs to be represented, isn't! Once again, its about the KIDS!!! Wilkes County needs to step up, there is no one man or entity that can keep adults or kids off the fields! We live in a FREE country!

is yadkin getting out of sertoma? I always hear they get what they want down there-must be bad for them to get out!

Brown paper bags full of cash? Hmmmm, wonder if Uncle Sam would be interested in knowing about that???? Looks like another SBI investigation for the ole Yadkin County!

Well then you know about what everybody else does. Sorry if I was misunderstood ,but team reps are looking to make some pretty substantial changes to the way things currently are. Don't want to divulge to much info. So, what you are hearing (if it is from someone who goes to these meetings) is probably true.

Is that all?

Not what I'm hearing. I heard (from people who go to the meetings) that Sertoma is breaking up and there will be more options besides Sertoma.

Only thing that should change is the name of the league and where the money goes (to the KIDS football programs like it should be). Also, good record keeping and transparancy(no brown paper bags full of cash). Individual teams/kids/sportsclubs WILL have what they need (safer up to date equipment). And the committment from ELECTED officials who make decisions based on what is best for the players. Not

I'm hearing that changes are a coming.

Whats the deal for those WHO KNOW?

What will happen with East Bend football?
