There's no such thing as truely free anti-virus and malware software. All of them will either have additional options that require purchase or require a subscription to get updates.
However, AVG and Malwarebytes are the best free basic use programs I've encountered to date. They both allow full system, single file, and group file scans and also provide full quarantine and infection removal. They also both update their definition files for free so you're protection is always up to date. AVG also offers basic web surfing protection if you're a lazy/unsafe web surfer/file downloader. You'll need to use them in conjunction (one after the other) since they both check for different things.

First, you have to realize that while someone else has access to your account they have access to everything related to that account.
Second, you have to realize that because of that, changing your password just isn't enough.
If you change the password, all the hacker has to do is request a password reset, and he'll regain access to the account.

I want a truly FREE anti virus and malware for my laptop. I have someone or something sending out emails from my aol account that I don't know where or how to get rid of them having access to my email from aol.
