In Firefox 3.0 and newer, restoring bookmarks only takes seconds.
1) Open Firefox
2) Press the Control+Shift+B keys to open the bookmark manager
3) Click on the button called: "Import & Backup"
4) Select "restore"
5) Select the date you want to roll back to and you're done.

I don't use chrome, but that's the procedure for Firefox,

I accidentally deleted my Bookmarks. I guess I will have to build another group of things I want to read and keep.
