You were right about the e-book on a portable DVD player being awful. It sure was. I went to Best Buy in Hickory and got a Sony E-Book Reader for less than $150.00. I have about 60 books on it so far with lots more space available. You can also put audio books on it . I really like it.

Ant Flo is right. The native resolution of DVDs is 720 x 480...but the actual resolution of screens on portable DVD players can be a fraction of that. Text would no-doubt be horribly difficult to read.
The good news is that e-readers are now much more affordable. The wi-fi only Barnes and Noble Nook is now just 149 bucks!

Honestly - the text will be horrible, hard to read.
But I think the only format that most DVD players will display that you could convert to would be .jpg images. You can convert the e-book from whatever format it is in to that, but it will be a hassle to view each page on the dvd player.
Oh, and it will be hard to read, also. E-readers and computers/laptop screens are made for displaying text and other items that dont move on screen very often. DVD players and TVs are made to display items that DO move all the time, so fuzzy edges are actually not very noticeable unless it is text.

I have an e-book on my computer and I would like to change the format so that I can view it on a portable DVD player. I put it on a dvd and can play it back on the computer but it will not play on a DVD player. Can someone help? Thanks
