Why do you need more virtual memory?

If it's winders just google and you'll get some really good how to's with great instructions.

Virtual memory = disk space that's used as memory when your RAM fills up. Clear some disk space (or don't worry about it because VM sucks anyway).

Need some advice on how to give my computer more virtual memory. It says I have room for 2.0 and I have it filled with 1.95.
