Probably not.
Windows 98 was a very simple program when compared to windows 7
Even if the system is strong enough to run windows 7 you probably could not get drivers for your system devices.

Not finding an operating system could also mean a bad hard drive, it might be time to retire your 98 system

my pc cant find is operating system...it has windows 98 on it ...if I buy windows 7 can I install it as an upgrade?
