You can call me at 818 0688 ... if you have a Dell, I just went through a similar issue with Asku. The short if it is that Dell uses a different autio driver than other computers and only the Dell driver works.
It sounds like you just reformatted the drive maybe but if you didn't .... you could also try doing a system restore back to a point where you know that you had sound.

for the sound problem try reinstalling the drivers for your sound card which u should either have a disk for or u can download them from your computer manufacturers website. Yo may also need whats called a UAA if you have an HD audio card in your system. if thats the case just search for Microsoft UAA driver and download and install that.

Had a friend of mine work on my system. Well, he fixed the problem then, but no I have no sound.
He said he had to clear everything. Does anyone know how I can get sound back ?
I also cannot get charters Virus protection to down load. It just goes half way and locks up. Everything else works ok.
Any ideas ?
