ok, well first. if your friend worked on it, without getting into the motherboard, (opening it up) then u can check the device manager. otherwise u would need to open the cpu and make sure that the sound and mic cables are connected in their proper slots , usually its bellow the sound cards, near the edge of teh mother board. u could make sure everything is plugged right by typing your model on google with the words "motherboard diagram" and you will know exactly where each cable goes

check device manager. make sure it shows no problems 1st. if problem dev mgr will show a yellow splotch beside device. actually before that check and make sure all is plugged up correctly. if you had to power flicker and have a sound system withit's own pwr supply. you may need to just unplug pwr for few min and plug back in. to reset

I let a friend of mine work on my Computer. Now everything works, except I have no sound.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this ?
