Once it's in safe mode, where do I go from there? I feel like a complete moron, because of my ignorance.

Ok, this should work. Depending on your computer.
Power it off. Then power it on, as it powers up repeatedly hit the F8 key. this should eventually start the Safe Mode. Then you should be able to go to your desktop. Change your password and Restart.

Recently, I created a new user account for someone on my computer, and I changed my status to an administrator. I set a password to protect my account, and now my computer has decided that it needs to protect itself from me as well. I can't sign onto my account. because my computer is telling me that my password is incorrect, even though I know it's not. This means that:
1. I must have misspelled my password twice.
2. My computer has a very warped sense of humor.
Any ideas on how to bypass my administrative password?
