From what I read. You got the driver installed. Did you set it as the default? Did you install the hp print smart software?

It shows to be there, not faded out. Yes, I waited until it told me to connect. I know all 5 of my printers are old, including the old dot matrix that I use for a trail printer, but they work well and do what I need to do. Very frustrating

Does it show as on line? not faded out
Did you wait for the program to tell you to connect the computer? If you did not remove and reinstall, wait untill the software asks you to connect.

Have a new tower, Windows 7 64 bit.. Trying to get my printers to work. I have a HP 1200 and HP 2605n that work fine with XP. The only drivers available for these are PCL6, which I have down loaded. I selected the 2605 as the default, computer sees it, but will not print to it. What do now??
