Just to keep everything in focus, I've had the pleasure of knowing some wealthy people who got there by hard work and intelligence. They don't contribute to the boot strap philosophy.

From my personal experience the "boot strappers" are usually those that have inherited wealth. I don't know Foxxy personally (I hope I never have the "pleasure') but I'd be very surprised if she doesn't fall into this category.

What lie?! I asked you a question. You said that cutting Medicaid was a "good move," and you've openly bragged about supporting Trump's $4.5 trillion tax cuts to the rich.
If California wants to give illegals free Medicaid coverage why should all Americans pay for it. "In 2022, California paid $692.2 billion in federal taxes and received $609.1 billion in federal funding, resulting in a net contribution of $83.1 billion, making it the largest 'donor state' in the nation."
In comparison, North Carolina is a net loss for the nation, taking more money than we pay in.. Here's the full list...
Meaning... the nation is paying us, but California is paying the nation. Which means that we suffer from the cuts, while California couldn't really care less.

Yes, California's Medi-Cal program, which is its version of Medicaid, offers full-scope benefits to all income-eligible residents, regardless of their immigration status, including undocumented immigrants, since January 1, 2024.

Have you read each year's budget for yourself and come to this conclusion? Or are you only believing what you've been told?

Good move. The feds get their money with taxes, too. They don't have a money tree. And nothing that I know of is more wasteful and inefficient than the federal government.

House Republicans voted to pass Trump's budget that includes $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
The federal government covers about 72% of Medicaid funding, so this puts the burden entirely on states. This means that either states will have to raise taxes to pay for it, or eliminate it entirely.
