Just listen to Trump's speech for the first minute, when the podcaster starts talking you can stop it.
This will sound insane at first, but I actually understand what Trump is saying.
You see, the G8 voted unanimously to expel Russia after they invaded Crimea in 2014.
What Trump thinks is that they should have supported Russia in the invasion. Just let them have Crimea. And then they would have taken Ukraine with little argument.
So technically speaking, he's not wrong... stand down and let Russia invade the other nations, and there would be no war. Because those nations wouldn't be able to defend themselves without assistance.

Continuing to prove himself as a loyal Russian asset, Trump is now ostracizing the US even further from the G7 by throwing his support to Russia instead of our allies...
Russia was removed from the G8 in 2014 after it invaded Crimea... a violation of international law. The other 7 nations agreed on Russia's expulsion.
Now, in spite of the continued invasion of Ukraine, Trump is fighting against our allies to let Russia back in.
